What Is a Limit Order? Buy at Your Price, Simply Explained
Set the price you want and let it fill if it gets there.
Market vs limit
A normal swap (a market trade) fills now at today's price. A limit order says: "buy (or sell) only if the price reaches X". If it never gets there, nothing happens and you can cancel.
Take-profit
A take-profit is a limit sell above the current price: "sell if it rises to X".
DCA
Dollar-cost averaging means buying a fixed amount on a schedule (say every day) instead of all at once. It doesn't remove risk.
On Craic Hub
Limit orders, take-profit and DCA run through Jupiter's on-chain order programs. You sign each order in your own wallet and can cancel any time. See Auto Trade.
