Crypto Safety: How to Spot Scams and Risky Tokens
The red flags, and how our safety check reads them for you.
The golden rules
- Never share your seed phrase. Anyone who asks is a scammer.
- Admins don't DM first. "Support" in your DMs is a scam.
- No one can promise profits. "Guaranteed" means scam.
- Check the contract address, not just the name.
- Don't sign things you don't understand.
Red flags on a token
- Creator can still mint more
- They can create new tokens and water down your share.
- Freeze authority
- They can freeze wallets, so you might not be able to sell.
- No sell route
- You might be able to buy but not sell (a "honeypot").
- A few wallets own most of it
- If they sell, the price can crash.
- Transfer tax
- Every transfer takes a cut.
Our safety check
Every token page on Craic Hub runs an automated check from public on-chain data and explains the results in plain English. It's info, not a guarantee. See also how to swap Solana tokens safely.

Not financial advice. Crypto is risky and you can lose everything you put in. Do your own research. Craic Hub is non-custodial: you trade from your own wallet and nobody here will ever ask for your seed phrase. Fees paid in $CRAIC are burned.
